Envirothon is the ultimate environmental education experience designed for high school students.
Participants must, over the course of several months of study, and prepare themselves for testing in these five areas: • soils/land use • aquatic ecology • wildlife • forestry • current environmental issue (which changes annually) Designed to foster cooperation and teamwork, five-member teams are tested not only on their knowledge in the topic areas, but also on their ability to apply that knowledge to solve real-life problems. Problem solving and teamwork are skills that will enhance the participants’ ability to take leadership roles after high school or college, no matter what their chosen field or career. If your school is interested in forming an Envirothon team(s) please contact Meleiah Tyus via email for more information. [email protected] |
