Grain Drill Rental
The DeSoto County Soil and Water Conservation District, in cooperation with the Mississippi Association of Conservation Districts, The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks, and Quail Unlimited, has purchased a new Truax native grass grain drill to lease to individual landowners of DeSoto.
It will be used to establish native grasses, such as varieties of bluestem, indiangrass, switchgrass, and other native plants that provide nesting areas for bobwhite quail, other small game species, as well as some non-game birds.
